On April 16, Lviv hosted the second event in the series “The Importance of Freedoms for Ukraine’s Prosperity” with the support of Atlas Network. This time, the participants gathered to discuss Ukraine’s economic, political, and legal challenges in its quest for prosperity.
Speaking at the event, Yaroslav Romanchuk emphasized the importance of three key freedoms for Ukraine’s success:
Economic freedom:
- Reducing bureaucracy and administrative barriers to doing business.
- Creating a favorable environment for investment and innovation.
Political freedom:
- Ensuring the rule of law and the impartiality of the judiciary.
- Strengthening democratic institutions.
Legal freedom:
- Protection of private property.
- Implementation of the principles of presumption of innocence.
The participants also discussed:
- The impact of the war on Ukraine’s economy and politics.
- The role of the free market and private enterprise in the country’s recovery.
- The need for reforms to improve the investment climate.
- The importance of civil society’s active position in protecting freedoms.
The event became a platform for a productive exchange of views and the development of recommendations on how Ukraine can overcome the challenges of today and build a free, democratic, and prosperous society.
The Free Nation public movement plans to hold similar events in other cities of Ukraine.
