Quates

Igor Gurin, the co-founder of “Free Nation”, emphasized the role of the public in improving the sociopolitical situation in the country:

There are a lot of negativity and destructive actions by politicians in the country. That is why public organizations should bring positive processes to society. “Free Nation” will become a centre for generating projects and actions from civil society organizations.

Oleksandr Shatkhin, head of the CLC’s subdivision in Odesa, expressed confidence in the success of the all-Ukrainian civic platform:

It is an honour for me to head the CLC’s subdivision in Odesa, and I am confident that together with partners from all over Ukraine we can achieve qualitative changes in the near future. “Free Nation” should become the flagship of changes in the country!

Results

All those present at the roundtable showed solidarity with the leaders of the social movement and outlined a range of problematic issues in the region, the solution of which will be more effective if they join forces. During the informal communication at the end of the roundtable, participants from all over the region established a dialogue with each other, which we are convinced will bring significant results for the society in the future.
