On April 21-24, 2024, a delegation from the United States visited Ukraine at the invitation of the Free Nation public movement.
Members of the delegation:
• Rollan Roberts II — American businessman, advisor to the US government, president of the U.S. Center for Diplomacy.
• Lan Tschirky — Vietnamese-European entrepreneur, investor in early-stage startups.
• Mark King — serial entrepreneur and volunteer.
1. Meeting of the American delegation with the activists of the Free Nation public movement
• On April 22, at a morning meeting with representatives of the Free Nation, the delegation was briefed on the challenges facing Ukraine in the wake of Russian aggression. Afterward, the delegation solemnly presented a signed U.S. flag and a commemorative statuette to the Free Nation movement.
2. Meeting of the American delegation with Ukrainian entrepreneurs
• On April 22, a meeting was held in Kyiv in the evening, organized by the Free Nation public movement with the support of the “Free Economy” Public Movement and the Advance Finance Alliance investment company.
• This event was a unique opportunity for Ukrainian businesses to establish direct contact with American investors.
• Yaroslav Romanchuk debunked common myths about investing in Ukraine and emphasized its investment attractiveness.
• US delegates shared their experience and recommendations on attracting investment, focusing on improving the investment climate and changing the rhetoric of Ukrainian business.
3. Meeting with Ukraine’s top management and memorandum of cooperation
• On April 23, the American guests met with the President’s Office, members of parliament, and ministers, where the leader of the delegation, Rollan Roberts II, once again emphasized the urgency for Ukraine to gain economic independence.
• Afterward, the Free Nation public movement officially signed a memorandum of cooperation with the U.S. Center for Diplomacy as a manifestation of support at the official level.
4. Round table in Dnipro
• On April 24, a roundtable discussion on freedom and its role in Ukraine’s prosperity was held in Dnipro.
• The participation of American businessmen and politicians emphasized not only the political but also the economic importance of Ukraine’s democratization.
• After the event, the American delegates met with representatives of the Dnipro City Council to discuss possible investment in the city of Dnipro.
• The delegation’s visit to Ukraine ended with a press conference at which Rollan Roberts II thanked the Free Nation for the warm welcome and emphasized that it is up to the Ukrainian people to create a new vision for Ukraine as a whole. “The best long-term victory for Ukraine is that people do not rely on the government alone, but make choices for themselves and their families. When they open a business, use entrepreneurship as the greatest equalizer in the world, and build an economy so powerful that other countries don’t even dare to attack,” concluded Rollan Roberts ІІ.
